Woodbury County Fair 29 Cut tops off beets, carrots, kohlrabi, parsnips, turnips, and others, before bringing them to the fair. Most require a 2-inch stem, and a complete taproot. Kohlrabi must leave a 2-inch root. Vegetables that wilt will be displayed in a jar of water. Parsley must be five complete stems, not just the leaflets from one stem. Display ½ pint of dry shell beans in a one-pint clear glass jar. Type of bean should be given on entry tag. Any other vegetable will include only something different from the other listed categories. Example: any other pepper has to be entered as such. Only one entry per category. 10501 Asparagus (5) 5-8” 10534 Kale (5 leaves) 10502 Beans, dried shelled (1/2 pint) 10535 Kohlrabi, purple (3) 2” root 10503 Beans, Lima (5 pods) retain 10536 Kohlrabi, white (3) 2” root stems 10537 Leek (3) 10538 Muskmelon (1) 10504 Beans, green (5) retain stems 10505 Beans, yellow wax (5) retain 10539 Okra, green (3) 3”–5” stems 10540 Okra, red (3) 3”-5” 10541 Onions, red globe or flat (3) 10506 Beans, purple (5) retain stems 10507 Beans, other (5) retain stems 10542 Onions, white globe or flat (3) 10508 Beets, cylindra (3) 2” stem 10543 Onions, yellow globe or flat 10509 Beets, golden (3) 2” stem (3) 10510 Beets, red ball (3) 2” stem 10544 Onions, other (3) 10511 Beets, white (3) 2” stem 10545 Garlic (3) 10512 Beets, other (3) 2” stem 10546 Parsley, curled (5 stems) 10513 Broccoli (1 head) 10547 Parsley, Italian (5 stems) 10514 Brussels sprouts (5) 10548 Peas (5 pods) 10515 Cabbage, white (1 head) 10549 Edible Pod peas (5 pods) (Retain Outer Leaves) 10550 Pepper, hot chili, big or 10516 Cabbage, red (1 head) small, red or green (3) (Retain outer leaves) 10551 Pepper, hot green jalapeno 10517 Cabbage, other (1 head) (3) (Retain outer leaves) 10552 Pepper, hot Hungarian Yellow 10518 Carrots, orange (3) retain 2” Wax (3) stems 10553 Pepper, other hot (3) 10554 Pepper, sweet banana (3) 10519 Carrots, colored (3) retain 2 stems 10555 Pepper, sweet cubanella (3) 10556 Pepper, sweet green bell (3) 10520 Carrots, novelty (3) retain 2” stems 10557 Pepper, other sweet (3) 10558 Pumpkin, pie (1) under 5# 10521 Cauliflower (1 head) 10522 Celery (1 plant) 10559 Rhubarb (5 stalks, tie both 10523 Cucumber, dills (3) 3-5” ends) 10524 Cucumber, slicing variety (3) 10560 Rutabaga (3) 6-10” NO PICKLING VARIETIES 10561 Shallots (5) 10525 Cucumber, burpless (3) over 10562 Squash, Acorn (1) 10” 10563 Squash, Buttercup (1) 10564 Squash Butternut (1) 10526 Cucumber, ripe yellow (3) 10527 Cucumber, novelty (3-5) 10565 Squash, Hubbard (1) 10528 Dill (5 heads) 10-12” stems 10566 Squash, Spaghetti (1) 10567 Squash, Other Winter (1) tied at both ends 10529 Eggplant, large oval (1) 10568 Squash, straight-neck (2) 10530 Eggplant, cylindrical (2) 10569 Squash, Zucchini green or 10531 Eggplant, white (2) yellow (2 of same color) 5-10” 10532 Eggplant, other (2) 10570 Squash, Zucchini round (2) 10533 Ground cherries (6) 3 in husk; 10571 Squash, Patty Pan (2) 10572 Squash, Gooseneck (2) 3 open
