Reid Colson is the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for Markel Corporation. Reid joined Markel in 2015 and is responsible for
Reporting, Data Governance, Analytics, Innovation and Digital Strategy. Prior to Markel, he spent 13 years at Capital One as
part of a 20+ year career spanning Data Technology, Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Predictive Modeling, Data Stewardship
and Operations. He has passion for data driven insights and products and has been able to build value added solutions across
several segments of the financial services industry. Reid is a graduate of both Florida State and Rice and lives Richmond with his
wife Megan and two kids.
