Returning for its second season, Junior Giants Baseball is a FREE program
that gives kids ages 5-13 the opportunity to play baseball over the
summer in a non-competitive and fun environment. The program runs
June 11 through August 4, with a weekday evening practice and a
Saturday game each week.
Throughout the season, participants will have an opportunity to earn
different Giants items through participation in practices, games, the
“Four Bases of Character Development”, the Junior Giants reading
program, and the anti-bullying campaign. To keep the program free of
charge, parent volunteers are needed as coaches, assistant coaches,
and team parents. Training is provided and all volunteers who
participate during the season will be offered free tickets to a Giants
game at AT&T Park.
Registration opens April 16 and closes May 17. You can either
register online at www.cityofnapa.siplay.com or at the Napa Parks
& Recreation Office, located at 1850 Soscol Ave. Suite 201. For more
information or to volunteer, contact Dan Opperman at
[email protected] or 707-257-9210.
