No paved road in Ontario takes you further north into Canada’s
unspoiled wilderness than Highway 599. Pickle Lake is known
as “the official end of the road”, the most northerly community
in Ontario accessible by road year round. The paved road ends
and, in winter, the ice roads begins.
The Community of Pickle Lake invites you to visit local camps,
fly-in outposts, or stay in town for rafting, canoeing or join in
other festivities and activities with ‘Pickle Lakers’. Check out
their new launch dock out at Kapkichi Lake. Don’t forget about
our first ever Northern Pike Catch and Release Fishing Derby
on Pickle Lake May 26th, 2018. The Annual Black Fly Festival
held on the July 1st Weekend 2018. There truly is something
