Situated on the banks of the Rainy River, Emo has the best of all
that Sunset Country offers. Adjacent to spectacular fishing, this
community hosts one of the more popular fishing tournaments
every May at the Emo Walleye Classic – this year from May 24
to 26. Fish for big walleye on Rainy River and you could share in
the $25,000.00 prize money. back in the 1950s. This is a great destination that will provide
entertainment for the entire family. Don’t forget about the
proud history of the community either. Visit the Emo Women’s
Institute and Museum and see some great displays. The Norlund
Chapel is also a must see – measuring only eight by ten feet -
it’s one of the world’s smallest churches.
