udith Schumacher-Tilton is a resident of
Montclair, NJ and president of Schumacher
Chevrolet Auto Group, New Jersey’s largest volume
Chevy dealer with five Chevrolet dealerships and
one Buick dealership, all located in northern NJ. (in
Little Falls, Denville, Clifton, Livingston and Boonton).
Judith chaired the General Motors Women’s Dealer
Advisory Council for three years, and continues to
serve on the Tri-State Chevrolet LMA Board for over
14 years and the executive board of the NJ Coalition
of Automotive Retailers (NJCar.org).
Locally, she serves on the Montclair State University
Foundation Board, the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton
and the Passaic County 200 Club Trustee Boards and
is co-founder of Give the Kids Hope Foundation. Inc.,
which supports recreational and educational programs
for underprivileged children in NJ. Among her many
accomplishments, she was nominated as 2012 TIME
Dealer of the Year— becoming New Jersey’s first-ever
female to compete for this very prestigious award. In
recognition of her dealerships’ performance and her
extensive community service, she won the title of
Northeast Regional TIME Dealer of the Year.
She was honored by the NY Business Journal
as a Woman of Influence, the Honor Legion of
the Police Departments of the State of NJ for her
community outreach and her dealerships’ support
of local law enforcement, the “Best 50 Women in
Business” by NJBIZ, The Distinguished Women
Award from Northwood University in Michigan,
the Shirley Chisholm Award for outstanding female
entrepreneurship and Woman of the Year by the Boy
Scouts of America. She and her family also received
the NJ Family Business of the Year Award by NJ
Monthly, PNC Bank and the Rothman Institute
of Entrepreneurship and most recently the Mary
Mochary and Michael Kasser award for Philanthropic
Leadership by Montclair State University.
