Ed was a mechanical engineer, retired from General Electric, and former manager of the computer lab at Speed Scientific School at the University of Louisville. For the past thirty years, he was an active member in the Bluegrass Miniature Horse Club and the Mid America Miniature Horse Club where he made many lifelong friends. Ed and his family have been the perfect example of the fun that Miniature horses and showing offer.  He restored some antique Miniature driving vehicles which were entered in some of the World shows with his daughters and grandkids.  The Birchler’s often put together great costumes for the costume classes and most of the family participated bringing great joy to all who watched.  Ed’s children and grandchildren are keeping the family fun going showing mostly local shows as well as State 4-H.  8 Miniature Horse World SPRING 2018
