Freezer Pops for Your Horse
These great frozen treat ideas can be tweaked and changed for your horse’s preferred tastes. We used Arctic Ice Gatorade, added shredded carrots, apple chunks, watermelon, pears or peaches. (You can always opt for the diet version if you're concerned about the sugars in the Gatorade.)
Pour your mixture in to a disposable cup or plastic container.
Decide if you will hand feed, hang or offer your treat in your horse’s feed tub. You can freeze your treats around bailing twine to hang your like a toy, just be sure your horse doesn’t eat the twine as well. If you’d rather hand feed your treat, freeze it in a disposable cup with a skewer stick standing in it.
Freeze overnight, in the morning, peel off the cup and ta-da, a frozen treat for those hot afternoons!
