Herbert Klumpes is owner
of Schuwacht Stables
located in a small village
called Lekkerkerk in the
Netherlands. Lekkerkerk
is situated on the river
de Lek overlooking the
world-famous windmills
off Kinderdijk and is
surrounded by beautiful
landscape.
S he was totaly fascinated by them. This
prompted him to start building his stables
and buy his first AMHA horse.
As a youngster Herbert’s family were farm-
ers and he grew up with lots of animals.
Then some fifteen years ago, Herbert saw
his first American Miniature Horse and Schuwacht stables is a small farm, Herbert
chose to stay small and give every horse the
attention, training and personal care that
they each deserve.
chuwacht Stables is located in a beau-
tiful area where the horses can enjoy
the prime pastures and great nature.
The horses at

Stables come
from various
backgrounds.
Some
are some
imported
from the USA,
some were
bred in the
Netherlands
or bought in
Europe.
