Reflecting on the busy, hectic lives most of us now lead, don’t you think now more than
ever, our world needs a Miniature horse? Help us celebrate this 40th year for the American
Miniature Horse Association, by sharing with everyone you meet how wonderful it is to
own and enjoy the most beautiful, small and talented equine ever produced.
Until next time,
judges speak
Stock Horse Attire
Wishing my wife Lisa DeBord and our girls,
My Dreams Rosey In The Buff and DSB Loco E Motion
the very best of luck at the 2018 AMHA World Show.
Lisa,
I am so proud of what
you’ve done with our horses!
I love you, Stephen
Q.
What attire do judges want to
see in the stock halter class?
Obviously a hat, but as far as
the rest of the clothes go, are they
wanting the zip up rail shirts like in
showmanship where you also wear a
hat? Or more of a suit/blazer look as it
is in standard halter? Or full on Western
button up shirts and jeans vs slacks?
JUDGE MELINDA GUY
Believe it or not, we are not judging what
you wear- just that it fits into the parameters
of class specifications. Most important is
that your outfit is neat and clean and above
everything else that it’s properly fitted.
JUDGE GORDON
ODEGARD
For the men, a Western
shirt, hat and western
bolla tie. With or without
a Western sport jacket is
okay. I would say jeans are
not appropriate. Western
dress slacks and boots.
