2018 Miniature Horse World Magazine FALL- Volume 34, Number 6 | Page 22

Elmo and Tiny Dancer are by far the most loved equines I’ve ever owned. I take them everywhere with me, even happy hours at bars that allow dogs! Dancer continues to get better and stronger. She’s back to her amazing self and was filmed for the news last week when she went on her first therapy visit at an Alzheimer’s Care facility, post surgery. Watching her go from resident to resident putting her head in their laps and allowing them to hug and love on her, I realize I made the right decision to go forward with the risky surgery. No one judged her by her scar or her limp. They saw her for the sweet, calm and loving little horse that she is. I want to give a shout out and thanks to Fernanda Camargo for responding to my previous posts and giving me advice and encouragement. And “thanks” to all the Miniature horse lovers who follow the Miniature Horse Discussion Barn page on Facebook. I love this site and so greatly appreciate all the time you give people for the love of our small equines. Tiny Dancer right after surgery with her epidural in-surgery scar looks much better now. we brought her home, I researched dog rehab facilities and chose one closet to the stables where Tiny Dancer is boarded. We take her weekly to the aquatic treadmill sessions and her healing and range of movement continues to improve. I’ve been involved with horses my entire life, buying my first pony with my own money when I was 10 years old and I showed Paints for years. My two Minis Tiny Dancer is looking forward to many more happy years doing her important Mini Therapy work. Breeding, training and showing the Miniature horse since 1980. Producer of World Champions.
