2018 Annual Report • 18 2018 Hardscape North America The Biggest Event for the Hardscape Industry In October 2018, hardscape contractors, dealers and retailers attended Hardscape North America (HNA) trade show at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY to see new products, learn and network. “I believe HNA is very valuable,” said Zach Tournoux, CCPI, Vice President, Project Management of ICPI member company Tournoux Landcare of Canton, OH. “I heard about the show seven years ago and I’ve come every year. There is always something you can take away. Contractors who don’t come to HNA are hurting themselves by not attending.” 2018 Quick Facts 57.5% Net Promoter Score among attendees, a rating of “Excellent” among similar trade shows in our industry and others 12,032 Contractors and dealers attended HNA and GIE+EXPO 24,796 Total attendees and exhibitors at HNA and GIE+EXPO 53 U.S. states and Canadian provinces from which contractors and dealers attended 6 International countries from which contractors and dealers attended 466 Participants in 7 HNA conference sessions 365 Attendees to 6 live HNA hardscape demonstrations HNA welcomed 50 new exhibitors. The co- location with GIE+EXPO (Green Industry & Equipment Expo) totaled 1,000 exhibits— indoors and out—and provided HNA exhibitors exposure to over 12,000 landscape and hardscape professionals. The total participation in 2018 HNA and GIE+EXPO was 24,796—a 3% increase over 2017. New this year, the entire industry had access to indoor exhibits all three days (Wednesday-Friday). “You find everything from small tools, power tools, and software,” said Jessica Gomez, Office Manager of ICPI Member CG Paving of Fort Worth, TX. “You see suppliers and the networking. There is so much to see and do.” “Every year when I come to HNA there are new products being put out on the market to help me, help my company, and my employees grow,” said Tarry Smith, CCPI, Operations Manager of Kentucky Twist Creation and Services, LLC of Georgetown, KY. “It’s definitely a show worth attending.” Education Course Registration at HNA Surges With education opportunities spanning four days, participants received a wealth of opportunities to increase installation efficiency and business acumen. The Pre- Show ICPI installer course registrations saw a 14% increase over 2017 for Tuesday and Wednesday sessions held at the downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel.
