September 22, 9:00 A.M. to Noon - Kennedy Park
The City of Napa is a Tree City USA. To maintain this status the City celebrates Arbor Day by
planting trees in the community. This year’s 29th annual Arbor Day celebration will be held at
Kennedy Park on Saturday September 22, 2018. The event will take place on National Public Lands
Day, a nationwide event where people can volunteer their time restore public lands. The focus will
be to plant trees in areas that experience heavy recreational use, have had trees removed and there is
a need for additional shade. Tree types that are better suited to the Napa climate will be planted that
day. We will be planting over 60 new trees in the park and are encouraging volunteers of all ages to
come out and help us celebrate this event by planting a tree. Music, entertainment and refreshments
will be part of the fun. The event will be held from 9:00 A.M. – 12 noon. For more information
contact our volunteer coordinator at (707)257-9960 and check out or website and social media pages
for updated information. We hope to see you there!
