We are pleased to offer you over 150 events, activities and programs that are designed to get you up, out and moving! We are confident that you will find our variety of program offerings inspiring and rewarding. Not only will you find many opportunities for personal growth and enrichment, you will also find a variety of ways to get your entire family involved to truly experience community. For example, on Saturday September 22, we are celebrating Arbor Day at Kennedy Park. In conjunction with National Public Lands Day, we are embracing the work of the National Environmental Education Foundation to promote popular enjoyment and conservation of public lands. This year’s event will be focused on replacing many trees that have died in Kennedy Park along with several other park improvement efforts. Be sure to bring your friends and family and help us celebrate the power of volunteers! The event begins at 9:00 A.M. and will conclude with music and refreshments. We always look forward to the many opportunities associated with Fall and this season is no exception. Let us assist you in creating some great memories! All the best, John Coates Director of Parks and Recreation Additionally, for the second consecutive year, we are partnering with the Napa County Bicycle Coalition to participate in Adventure Cycling Association’s Bike Your Park Day on Saturday, September 29 at 10:00 A.M.. We will be assembling at the Grove Picnic Area in Kennedy Park and riding our bikes up the Vine Trail through the Rail Arts District, also known as RAD Napa, then on to Fuller Park and finally returning to Kennedy Park. This will be a great time to experience the serenity of the Napa River as it meanders next to the Vine Trail, see the new murals in RAD Napa and learn about the amazing history of Fuller Park, our oldest park in Napa. An alternative route will be provided for mountain bikers wanting to experience the trails of Skyline Park. Representatives from Napa County Park and Open Space District, the Vine Trail, Napa County Bicycle Coalition and RAD Napa will be joining us to share much more about their organizations.
