SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 1 PM Artist and Filmmaker Christopher Healey will talk about What If Was Here as well as discuss current trends of Augmented Reality in contemporary art and activism. What If Was Here 2014-18, 18 Trigger Images Installation in the Alcove (Back of the KIAC Ballroom) Open between screenings Originally a multiple site specific installation work across the City of Hamilton, Ontario, this interactive experimental documentary engages participants as an augmented reality experience through a projection based installation. Public spaces are critically examined as contested spaces, questioning our assumptions of community by revealing simultaneous but incompatible visions of use. Environmental priorities, the violence of civic politics and anti-individualism are among themes explored in this work. This series of photographs and accompanying text act as trigger images to launch multi-media experiences through the use of the free HP Reveal Augmented Reality App for iPhone and Android devices.
