MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN
As Dean of the College of Business Administration, I am proud to
support the efforts of our Career Services Office in helping business
students meet their potential, as well as meet the needs of employers in
Northeast Ohio and beyond.
The college’s Career Services Office is dedicated to providing a full
range of services including career advising, interview preparation, and
resources to assist students in making a positive, lasting impression on
prospective employers. These programs range from the Top Student
Scholars Showcase to etiquette dinners to a Career Closet Scholarship.
In addition, the college now requires a Professional Development course
of all undergraduate business students, in alignment with the NACE
Career Readiness Competencies, to jump start the career preparation
and skill development process. Business students are introduced to
comprehensive resources and specialized career fairs offered through the
Career Services Office beginning their first year on campus.
Employer outreach and engagement is another aspect of the work of
the Career Services Office, which facilitates employer participation in
mock interviews, recruiting events, panelist opportunities, guest résumé
reviews, information tables, and dining and networking events. Our
students are well prepared and the Career Services Office stands ready to
assist you in meeting your talent needs.
Sincerely,
Deborah F. Spake, Ph.D.
Dean
