Mineheart was founded in 2010 by designers Brendan Young and Vanessa
Battaglia.
The company name Mineheart was inspired by the Shakespearian quote:
“Mine eye and heart...” to symbolise their dual passions; a love for tradi-
tion, and eye for contemporary design, which is present throughout the
Mineheart collection.
Based just outside Cambridge in the idyllic English countryside, Mineheart
works with established and emerging artists and designers to infuse every-
day objects with artistry and expression.
Combining traditional craftsmanship and classical details with contempo-
rary ideas and modern technology, Mineheart brings the latest innovative
new ideas to life in the forms of lighting, furniture, wallpaper, rugs and
interior accessories design.
The unique collection of interior homewares so far includes collaborations
with artists including Angela Rossi, Chad Wys, Courtney Brims, Helen
Hooper, Himitsuhana, Jacky Tsai, Joao Figueiredo, Simon Schubert and
Young&Battaglia.
