Pipelines Infrastructure
The upgrades to 4G networks and the expansions in
network capacity and coverage have supported high
levels of construction in telecommunications. Activity
has grown for five consecutive years and expect to peak
in 2017/18 at $2.7 billion. Following the upgrades, the
telecommunications segment is set to experience a steady
decline until 2020/21. On the public side, work done is
forecast to escalate in line with the continued rollout of
the NBN and the need to address mobile black spots.
