Jessie Leigh Thursday, August 10th, 7:00pm-9:00pm "Music has always been a part of who I am. My mom says I would hum before I could talk." This innate passion for music has always been a big part of who Jessie Leigh is, but after high school she wasn't sure she was ready to share some- thing so personal with the world. So instead of pursuing mu- sic full time, Jessie Leigh went to college to get her teaching degree. During this time she focused her musical energy on gospel music while she learned to lead worship at church. "This time of ‘less intense’ musical sched- ule really helped me grow musically and hone in on a lot of important skills. It also reaffirmed my passion for music and I realized I needed to do more." After playing her first live county show in 2014, Jessie Leigh's music career took off. Soon after her first solo show, she began forming her own band and started writing songs. In her first year on the scene, Jessie Leigh opened for a number of national acts including Chris Janson, Kenny Chesney, Craig Campbell, Josh Gracin, and more. Jessie Leigh and her band also won the 2015 Battle of the Bands, played at the Oregon Jamboree, and began touring in Oregon, Washington, California, and Nevada. While off stage, she began working on her first album of all original songs available for download NOW!
