MESSAGE FROM
THE CHIEF
I am pleased to present the 2018 Southlake Fire
Department Annual Report. In providing this report, I
hope to show the citizens and customers of the Southlake
Fire Department the progress and improvement that the
department continues to make in our pursuit of
excellence. The information contained in this report is a
reflection of the combined efforts of the outstanding men
and women who proudly serve Southlake Fire and the
community at large. It is through their work and
dedication that the Department had a successful and
productive year; simply put, they are the best of the best.
The 2018 report highlights some significant projects
accomplished by the Fire Department over the last
twelve months while showing the direction for the next
year and beyond. The department saw several
milestones in 2018 with implementation of the
employee health and wellness program and being fully
staffed for the first time in five years. These
accomplishments, coupled with the passion and
commitment of our members, keep me excited about the
future.
The Department continues to focus on emergency
preparedness, training, education, and most
importantly customer service. The support from our
community is an important piece of our success and we
thank all of you for continuing to allow us to serve this
wonderful community. 2019 promises to be another
busy year for the Southlake Fire Department, but I
know we have the professional staff and dedication to
ensure that we continue to raise the level of expectations
of our fire department.
It is my distinct honor and privilege to lead a
progressive, customer-driven fire department that
constantly works hard to meet the fire and rescue needs
of its community.
