It has been my honor to serve as this year’s Chair
for Polk Vision. I am grateful for the enthusiasm
and support of the hardworking Polk Vision staff
members and volunteers. It is inspiring to work
with such a dedicated team of selfless individuals,
organizations and industry leaders for the good of
our community. Polk Vision’s gifts to those it serves
are many: collaboration, passion, accountability,
creativity, and diversity. Together, I have no doubt this
organization will continue to use those gifts in the
future to take on issues important to all of us. Thank
you for making this an outstanding year. Polk Vision is the only organization in the county
charged with aligning the efforts of the many hard
working public, private and civic organizations to
ensure everyone is collaborating, sharing resources
and working toward the same end goal of improving
the quality of life for all Polk County citizens.
Together, we have made some informed decisions
about where we want to go as a community, and
the LEAD teams have made impressive progress
in carrying out their plans. We are moving our
community in a positive direction that will no doubt
benefit Polk County for generations to come. I am
proud to have been involved in Polk Vision for the
past several years and am excited about the impact
we can make on our community in the years ahead.
