The theme for the 2019 Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program
is Inspire Imagine Innovate! Girls will be able to exhibit
their creativity, enthusiasm, and put their own individual
style and personality into the many facets of the largest
girl-led business in the world!
When girls participate in the Cookie Sale Program they are
building self-confidence and learning important skills such
as how to budget, how to create a marketing plan, and how
to work as a team to make it all happen!
The Cookie Program is an incredible foundation to the 5
Essential Skills of our entrepreneurial program. Money
Management, Business Ethics, People Skills, Decision
Making and Goal Setting are skills girls can use throughout
their lives. Girls can also earn age-specific Cookie Business
badges, including Cookie CEO, Give Back, and Research &
Development, to name a few! Adults play a key role as they
coach and mentor girls by focusing on three key learning
approaches, all while having fun!
• Girl-Led: Girls collaborate and play an active role in
deciding on and planning troop activities.
• Learning by doing: Girls engage in activities that result
in deeper understanding of concepts such as business
ethics and money management. They are able to work
as a team as they plan their strategies and put their plan
into action!
• Cooperative learning: Girls work together setting goals
and making decisions in an atmosphere of respect
that encourages the sharing of skills, knowledge, and
learning.

Participation in the Cookie Sale Program enables girls
to fund amazing activities and experiences along with
providing girls with opportunities to give back to the
community through a variety of community service
and take action projects! These amazing experiences are
powered by the Girl Scout Cookie Program!
When does the Cookie Sale begin?
Girls can begin online marketing and order taking on
December 22, 2018.
When do the cookies arrive?
Initial deliveries begin in mid-January and re-orders
continue through the end of March.
Who can participate in the
Cookie Sale Program?
All registered Girl Scouts from Daisies through
Ambassadors may participate in the sale.
What is new for 2019?
• You voted and the mascot is an awesome narwhal! There
are lots of amazing recognitions and patches that girls
can earn during the sale.
• It’s new cookie time! This year we will be offering a new
gluten-free cookie, the Caramel Chocolate Chip! This
cookie features rich caramel, semi-sweet chocolate
chips, and a hint of sea salt. It’s sure to be a hit!
• There are also two new credit card processing platforms
to offer to those customers who don’t carry cash!
