Four Students Attend All-State Choir

The Burke All-State Choir students Haley Benter, Brecken Bartling, Kaleb Wells, Allie Stangle, and alternates Sammy Bull, Skyla Hosselkus, Frank Even, and Johnny Rozeboom traveled to Vermillion to practice for their performance on October 27 .
The students arrived in Rapid City on October 25 to prepare for their performance on the 27. They performed their songs in front of a live audience and it was broadcast on SDPBS.
Two Students Attend FCCLA Leadership Conference

Frank Even and Taylor Even attended a FCCLA Leadership Conference in Huron on September 30 and October 1.
While they were there they learned about national programs in FCCLA, how to act in an interview, different projects they could do for FCCLA, and what FCCLA was about.
"It was fun and exciting, and I got to miss school so that was fun," stated eighth grader, Taylor Even.
