FCCLA Fun Night Held!

FCCLA members held a fun night to start off the school year and welcome new members on August 27. The activities took place at the Burke City Park. Everyone was invited to come and learn about what FCCLA is.

There were a bunch of different games played. The chapter also had hot dogs and other food there. It was a good night to invite new members to join.

"It was a great way to start off the year and welcome new members. We had a lot of fun and everything went smoothly," stated FCCLA Recreation Officer, Emily Stukel.

Homecoming King and Queen Crowned

Coronation kicked off homecoming week on September 17. The nominees for king and queen were escorted by their Junior escorts: Frank Even, Jaden Frank, Finn Hanson, Tyson Mayer, Allie Stangle, Haley Benter, Taylee Indahl, Lacey Person, Anna Peterson, and Lainee Schonebaum. The king nominees were Cade Bailey, Brock Karbo, Joseph Schonebaum, Borden Rolf, and Kaleb Wells. The nominees for queen were Brecken Bartling, Lahna Matucha, Emily Stukel, Sierra Swan, and Erika Van Nieuwenhuyse.

The night consisted of coaches introducing the volleyball, football, and cross country teams. Each of the candidates were asked questions from teachers. The envelopes were delivered and they crowned the king, Joseph Schonebaum, and the queen, Lahna Matucha.

Thr crown carriers were Blaire Laposky and Brody Indahl. The envelope carriers were Shyanne Williams and Ryggan Lambley. The MC's for the night were Ramee Hanson and Hunter Van Nieuwenhuyse.

"Coronation was a very fun and nerve-racking night. Everyone was very deserving of being crowned King or Queen, and I was very honored to have gotten it. Making great memories like these with your friends are what make high school enjoyable," said Homecoming Queen, Lahna Matucha.
