Cougars Fall Short to Gregory Gorillas

The Burke Cougars battled against the Gregory Gorillas September 13. The jamboree was held in Gregory, and the Cougars fell short with a final score of 14-34. The jamboree provided fans with the opportunity to see both teams in a nearby location.
The whole team worked hard, but a few Cougars that stuck out were Bryce Bartling, Sawyer Tietgen, and Gunnar Stephens. The three helped put the Cougars on the scoreboard with Bryce scoring a touchdown, Sawyer gaining the Cougars a two point conversion, and Gunnar running a quarterback keeper.
Middle School Football Hosts Triangular

The Burke Middle School Football team hosted a triangular against Corsica/Stickney and Kimball/White Lake on September 10.
The Cougars first played the KWL Wildkats, and the Wildkats won. The team then played Corsica/Stickney and the Cougars won.
Cougars Defeat Colome Cowboys on Home Field

The Burke Middle School hosted a game against the Colome Cowboys September 17. The game was held at Tolsted Field, and the Cougars defeated the Cowboys.
