FCCLA Holds White Elephant Gift Exchange
FCCLA hosted a white elephant Christmas party on January 7 for all the FCCLA members. Everybody had to bring a gift that was below $15. The members then followed the white elephant game rules.

The Burke FCCLA Chapter traveled to Mitchell on January 23 to attend the Region 3 FCCLA meeting.
At the FCCLA meeting students could go to workshops, presentations and the general session. There were 4 students that presented: Emily Stukel Career Investigation; Hunter Van Nieuwenhuyse, Career Investigation; Heidi Gonzalez, Illustrated Talk; and Lahna Matucha, Illustrated Talk. The participants all received gold. Frank Even was in charge of the meeting since he is the Region 3 President.
"The Region 3 meeting was excellent. All those that presented are advancing to state for Burke. Everyone did their best, and we are all very excited for the State Conference. The workshops were very interesting. Frank Even, Region 3 President, did a great job with planning the meeting. Mrs. Opbroek is an amazing advisor, and we couldn't have done as well as we did without her! I am looking forward to the State Conference," stated FCCLA Chapter President, Erika Van Nieuwenhuyse.
