Lady Cougars Travel to Kimball

The Lady Cougars traveled to Kimball on December 7. The final score for Varsity was 44-56 with Kimball winning. The Lady Cougars start the season 0-1.

The team had a total of 16 rebounds and 16 steals. The Lady Cougars shot 30% from the field with 16/52 shots made. The team was 59% from the free throw line with 13/22 made.

Sally Hakin lead the team with 11 total points, 7 total steals, and had 7 out of 10 free throws made. Lahna Matucha had 9 total points, 5 steals, 5 rebounds, and made 5 of 10 free throws. Taylee Indahl made 4 of 9 field goals.

Lady Cougars Host the Knights

The Lady Cougars hosted the North Central Knights on December 11 in Burke. The final score for JV was 25-10 with Burke coming out on top. The final score for the Varsity game was 25-67 with the Lady Cougars falling short.

In the JV game, Elly Witt led the team with 10 points and 6 steals. Bridget Bartling and Adisyn Indahl both had 6 points each. Elenna Koenig had 7 rebounds, and Adisyn Indahl had 4 rebounds.

In the Varsity game, Taylee Indahl led the team with 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 5/10 field goals made. Lahna Matucha had 5 points, 3 steals, and made 3/4 free throws. Bobbi Jo Wischmann also had 3 steals. Sierra Swan had the most rebounds with 4.

The team had a total of 15 rebounds and 12 steals. The Lady Cougars struggled from the field shooting only 15% with 8/52 made. From the free throw line, Burke shot 52%.

Lady Warriors Defeat Lady Cougars

The JV and Varsity teams traveled to Winner on December 13 to take on the Lady Warriors. The final score of the JV game was 19-43 with the Lady Warriors coming out on top. For the Varsity game, the Lady Warriors defeated the Lady Cougars 42-67.

In the JV game, Savannah Geaghan had 4 points. Elly Witt was close behind with 3 points.

The highest scorer for the Varsity game was Sally Hakin with 13 points. Lahna Matucha added 8 points and 7 rebounds. Lacey Person had 2/14 made shots. Sally Hakin made 3/4 free throws, and had 5/11 shots made.

The Varsity team went 31% from the field and 54% from the free throw line.

Burke Falls to Stuart

The Lady Cougars headed to Stuart on December 15. The Burke JV lost as the final score was 26-29. The Lady Cougars fell short with an ending score of 36-43.

For JV, Elly Witt led in points with 11. Adisyn Indahl also contributed with 7 points. Both Gracie Dummer and Adisyn Indahl had 2 rebounds each.

In the Varsity game, Lacey Person led with 10 points, 2/4 three-pointers made, and 4/16 baskets. Taylee Indahl had 9 points, 7 rebounds, and made 4/11 shots. Lahna Matucha was 100% from the free- throw line. Sally Hakin had 3 total steals.

The team was 33% from the field and 60% from the free-throw line.

Lady Cougars travel to Presho

The Lady Cougars traveled to Presho on December 18. The Varsity lost with a final score of 34-44.

The team had shot 26% from the field and 57% from the free-throw line.

Sally Hakin led with 12 points and 5/14 shots made. Lacey Person had 10 points, 2/3 three- pointers made, and 4/10 attempted shots made. Taylee had a total of 6 rebounds, 4/6 free-throws made, and 2/16 attempted shots made.
