Cougars Make Their Mark at Winner Invitational
The Cougar Track and Field teams traveled to Winner on April 7 to compete in the Bill Pistulka Invitational. It was an overcast day, but that did not seem to mind the Burke athletes.
In the Girls 100 Meter Dash, Kate Weborg placed 8th with a time of 14.05, Elenna Koenig placed 17th, and Lena Ulman came in 26th with Alison Hoffman right behind her in 27th. In Girls 200 Meter Dash, Kate Weborg snagged 7th place with a time of 29.51, Elenna Koenig placed 11th, Lena Ulman placed 15th, and Alison Hoffman came in at 17th.
Skyla Hossulkus competed in the Girls 400 Meter Dash and received 20th place with a time of 1:30.76. Lacey Person ran the Girls 800 Meter Run and snagged 6th place with a time of 2:57.11. In the Girls 1600 Meter Run, Brecken Bolander placed 8th with a time of 6:29.48 and Lacey Person placed 9th with a time of 6:31.44.
Brecken Bolander competed in the Girls 3200 Meter Run and placed 4th. The Burke team nabbed 1st place in the Girls 4x200 Meter Relay and 3rd in the Girls 1600 Sprint Medley. In Girls High Jump, Lahna Matucha placed 1st and Elenna Koenig came in 3rd. In Girls Long Jump, Bridget Bartling placed 12th and Kate Weborg placed 16th.
In Girls Triple Jump, Piper Hanson placed 7th. In Girls Shot Put, Rebecca Bull placed 7th, Caitlyn Dummer placed 8th, and Brecken Bartling placed 11th. For Girls Discus Throw, Brecken Bartling placed 4th, Sammy Bull placed 8th, and Caitlyn Dummer placed 15th.
In the Boys 100 Meter Dash, Ethan DeLong placed 14th with a time of 12.38, Bryant Wright placed 28th, and Terrance Roubideaux came in at 33rd. In the Boys 200 Meter Dash, Ethan DeLong grabbed 6th place with a time of 24.85, Dimitri Davis placed 25th, Bryant Wright placed 26th, and Terrance Roubideaux placed 29th. In the Boys 400 Meter Dash, Nicolo Pissari placed 11th with a time of 1:03.68 and Keith Hoffman placed 17th.
Tyson Mayer placed 1st in the Boys 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:07.82. In the Boys 1600 Meter Run, Nick Nelson placed 1st, Keith Hoffman placed 17th, and Nicolo Pissari placed 18th. Teron Serr placed 4th in the Boys 110 Meter Hurdles. Burke placed 4th in the Boys 4x200 Meter Relay and 1st in the Boys 4x400 Meter Relay.
Terrance Roubideaux placed 12th in Boys High Jump and Teron Serr placed 11th in Boys Long Jump. In Boys Shot Put, Cooper Bailey placed 3rd.
