Middle School Track & Field Head Into Gorilla Territory
The Middle School Track and Field team traveled to Gregory on April 9 to compete in the Gregory Invitational. It was a long day for the athletes, but well worth it.
In the Girls 100 Meter Dash, Kiana Liewer placed 14th, Heaven Bad Horse placed 15th, and Addi Hood placed 22nd. Kailee Frank snagged 3rd in the Girls 300 Meter Dash. In the Girls 800 Meter Dash, Kailee Frank came in 2nd with Piper Hanson right behind her in 3rd. The two were also neck-in-neck in the Girls 1600 Meter Run where Frank placed 1st and Hanson came in 2nd.
Piper Hanson then placed 6th in the Girls 100 Meter Hurdles. The Burke team placed 5th in the Girls 4x100 Meter Relay and in the Girls 4x200 Meter Relay. The Burke team also placed 4th in the Girls 800 Sprint Medley. Addi Hood came in 5th in the Girls Long Jump.
Piper Hanson grabbed 1st place in the Girls Triple Jump. In Girls Shot Put, Paige Bull placed 4th and Ava Johnson placed 17th. In Girls Discus Throw, Paige Bull placed 1st and Ava Johnson placed 4th..
In the Boys 100 Meter Dash, Reed Benter placed 31st and Izaak Koenig placed 35th. For Boys 200 Meter Dash, Fin Adams placed 6th while Izaak Koenig placed 34th. In Boys 400 Meter Dash, Gentry Bartling placed 5th. In the Boys 1600 Meter Dash, Fin Adams placed 6th.
Bryce Bartling placed 5th in the Boys 100 Meter Hurdles. The Burke team placed 7th in the Boys 4x100 Meter Relay and 3rd in the Boys 4x200 Meter Relay. The Burke team also placed 2nd in the Boys 800 Sprint Medley. In Boys High Jump, Bryce Bartling placed 2nd, Gentry Bartling placed 3rd, Reed Benter placed 4th, Breven Bolander placed 6th, and Moxon Fox placed 7th.
Izaak Koenig placed 12th in the Boys Long Jump. In Boys Shot Put, Gentry Bartling placed 5th and Kaleb Schonebaum placed 21st. Schonebaum also placed 17th in Boys Discus Throw.
Kate Weborg placed 1st in the Girls 100 Meter Dash and 4th in Girls Long Jump. Bridget Bartling placed 6th in Girls 400 Meter Dash and 3rd in Girls Long Jump. Brecken Bolander placed 1st in Girls 1600 Meter Run.
Bryant Wright placed 8th in Boys 100 Meter Dash which Ira Burroughs placed 10th in. Nick Nelson placed 2nd in Boys 800 Meter Run and 4th in Boys 1600 Meter Run. Terrance Roubideaux placed 4th in Boys High Jump while Sawyer Tietgen placed 1st in the Boys Triple Jump. The Burke track team placed 2nd in the Boys 4x100 Meter Relay, 1st in Boys 4x200 Meter Relay, and 3rd in the Boys 4x400 Meter Relay.
