OUTREACH AND EDUCATION
Burn Camps
Camp facts:
Our Burn Camps Program is a therapeutic medical specialty camp for
pediatric burn survivors and their families. These camps create a place
where children can connect with peers who understand the pain and
trauma of a burn injury — no matter the size. The program includes
summer camp, winter teen camp, family camp and a young adult retreat
for burn survivors from Children’s Colorado and eight referring pediatric
burn centers.
The program is led by medical providers and camp specialists. It is
accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA) and is a member of
the International Association of Burn Camps.
