40 Woodbury County Fair Contestants may watch judging in progress, judge’s comments will be made and ribbons awarded day of show. Exhibits and ribbons will be on display in the Foods Department for the rest of the Woodbury County Fair. Premium can be collected after 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Antique Department in the Open Class Building. List your age on the entry tag. The cupcakes can be purchased cakes. Decorate your cupcakes to look like critter faces. You can use anything edible for decorating. Present four cupcakes on a white plate measuring no more than 10” Entries will be judged on Workmanship (50%), Appropriateness to Class (25%) and Utilization of Edible Food (25%) Seasonal Decorated Cookies Entries will be brought to the Ag Building Auditorium from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017, 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. for children's classes and 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. for adult class. Decorated cookies can be bought for the children but must be decorated by the contestant themselves. Adults must make and decorate their cookies with the recipe included. There will be four classes: 52201 Children ages 2-5 52202 Children ages 6-10 52203 Children 11-17 52204 Adults Contestants may watch the judging in progress, judge’s comments will be made and ribbons awarded the day of the show. Celebration of Tables Entries may be brought to the auditorium through the West door from 9-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5th. Exhibitors should stop at the Woodbury County Fair office to pick up a loading pass. No vehicles are allowed on the grounds after 10:00 a.m. You may set up your tables for judging between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Exhibitors are responsible for bringing their own: Card Table Table covering Table Setting for Two Themed Menu Fresh Flower Centerpiece – Must be Homegrown No silverware required. Tables will be judged on how well is represents the theme they are trying to portray. It can be any celebration you elect to convey. Two Classes: 52301 - Students in 1st - 12th Grades 52302 - Anyone out of High School Celebration of Tables will be judged the day of the show, ribbons will be awarded day of the show and Premium can be collected after 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the Antique Department in the Open Class building. Exhibits must be removed from the building between 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. Gourmet Cupcake Showdown Entries will be received at the Ag Building Auditorium, EAST door from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
