The Walkway Marathon race series has taken a pledge of sustainability through Athletes for
a Fit Planet to be a green certified event. In our third year, we will continue our efforts to
minimize race waste, conserve water, and reduce our carbon footprint by reducing our
printed material, reusing our signage, and making available recycling composting stations
along the course. We invite you to support our efforts, and ask if you can be a green as
possible on race day. We have green team volunteers on-site to help educate, sort and
instruct. Thank you for your support.
