Alaska & Talkeetna Range Grizzly Bear Hunt # 10 Hunt north of Denali National Park , based out of Healy , Alaska , in Units 13 & 20 , for big grizzly bears . Spring and Fall hunts , conducted by snowmachine ( spring only ), horseback , and ATVs . Outfitter lets you stay until you harvest your bear . Snowmachine hunts are done near denning areas , ambushing a big bear as he comes and goes from his winter den , or on a recent moose kill . Fall hunting is lots of glassing , until you located the right bear . Cabin accommodations for the most part , wall tent camps if necessary .
