Summer Internships
Each summer , Anderson Ranch provides a variety of internship opportunities in conjunction with summer workshops . The effort and teamwork of talented interns in artistic and administrative departments helps to provide the high-quality learning experience for which the Ranch is known . Interns become a part of the Ranch family to uncover , develop and stretch their creative spirits in the visual arts . Interns not only assist in summer workshops and events , but also work and connect with artists and gifted instructors in a supportive community . Studio and administrative internships are offered . Spring & Fall Artists-In-Residence Program
Anderson Ranch ’ s Artists-in-Residence Program fosters creative , intellectual and professional growth for emerging and established visual artists . Residents have access to world-class facilities and 10 weeks of studio time , free from everyday pressures . Residents can pursue interdisciplinary projects among a community of working artists , and gain feedback from prominent Visiting Artists and Critics . The Ranch setting is specifically crafted to aid artists in the production of their work . Residencies are offered in ceramics , new media , photography , furniture design , woodworking , painting , drawing , printmaking and sculpture .
An independent jury of established working artists , critics and curators chooses finalists based on artistic merit . Residencies are offered to a total of 28 emerging and established artists split between two terms each year : spring and fall . January Studio Concentration
Experience the magic of Anderson Ranch during the January Studio Concentration , a three-week program specifically designed for artists to immerse themselves in the studio practice of their choice while working alongside established faculty . Guest faculty teach Monday , Wednesday and Friday , allowing for students ’ solo studio practice on Tuesday and Thursday . Students have 24-hour access to a personal studio space , ideal for fostering experimentation and implementing ideas and conceptual suggestions from faculty . An array of studio mediums are offered .
