Sonya Taylor Moore
Ages : 4 - 5 / 9am - 12pm CONCEPT : Pack your bags and get ready to embark on the artistic adventure of a lifetime ! Each day students focus on one destination and create beautiful and creative works of art specific to that location . Projects include Japanese ceramic tea cups , authentic Mexican prayer boxes , giant garden gnomes from Germany , intriguing Moroccan camels complete with leather moccasins , and detailed Italian fresco paintings . We also explore the culture , folklore and history of these destinations , and even cook some food from each of these special places .

The Enchanted Forest
Katherine Bell
Ages : 4 - 5 / 9am - 12pm CONCEPT : Dream up and develop your very own woodland creatures in a workshop that can only be described as magical ! In this highly imaginative course , we create our very own woodland creatures — such as gnomes , fairies and sprites — out of papier mâché , paint , felt , glue and glitter . Each day we discover different mystical creatures of the forest by reading folklore . Storytime inspires our art as we sculpt a giant toadstool , design fairy gardens with natural materials , and use clay to make a forest friend of our choosing . We also take daily nature walks to find treats the gnomes and fairies have left behind for us .
KATHERINE BELL has worked with communities in the Bay Area , South America , Minnesota and her hometown of Aspen , Colo ., engaging children through art . She is currently the Children ’ s Program and Outreach Manager for Anderson Ranch Arts Center .
