EARTH CLUB Moderator : Mr . Simcoe Eligibility : Open to all students interested in promoting environmental sustainability . Requirements : Must be concerned with environmental issues , willing to gain greater awareness of these issues , and able to participate in the club meetings and activities . Goals & Objectives : To create a greater awareness of environmental issues and to support action on those issues both inside and outside the SUA community . Outside / After school activities : Organizing and operating the recycling and composting programs on SUA campus ( including the Keller Center lunchroom ), watching films on environmental issues , engaging in nature walks and community clean-ups , supporting various environmental organizations , and more . ETHICS BOWL TEAM Moderator : Ms . Elsbrock Eligibility : All SUA students in good standing . Must have an interest in ethical dilemmas and the time and willingness to prepare cases for discussion at meetings . Requirements : Team members are expected to attend all practices and the State competition , plus any other competitions or scrimmages that may be scheduled at a later date . Goals & Objectives : To engage in civil dialogue about ethical issues . Ethics Bowl is not a debate but rather a structured , thoughtful discussion . By examining and discussing the cases , teams will be able to present what the most ethical solution is to a given situation and to support their position in dialogue with the opposing team and the judges . Outside / After school Activities : Weekly hour-long practices on Mondays . Additional hour and a half prep time outside of practice to read and research cases . State competition is held on a Saturday in late January . If the team advances beyond the State level , the national competition is held over two days in April in North Carolina . FASHION CLUB Moderator : Ms . Probst Eligibility : Any student who is willing to learn about fashion trends & express her personal style while keeping an open mind , respect towards fellow students , materials and the environment . Requirements : Attendance at meetings , an open mind and positive attitude . Goals / Objectives : Have all the members feel more confident in what they wear , upcycling and an awareness that , “ Personal style is about having a sense of yourself and what you believe in everyday ” - Ralph Lauren Outside / After school activities : Possible field trips on the weekends . FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES Moderator : Mrs . Fontaine Eligibility : Open to all SUA students . Requirement : FCA is a voluntary , student-led organization . Each Huddle ( meeting ) is led by Huddle Leaders ( students ) to discuss and engage in their faith . Members may participate in local , regional , and state activities throughout the school year . Through these interactions , students will gain leadership skills , network with other FCA members throughout Cincinnati , and build a stronger foundation of their faith .
