ACADEMIC​ ​TEAM Moderator​ : ​ ​Mr . ​ ​Hittle Eligibility​ : ​ ​Students​ ​must​ ​be​ ​quick​ ​thinking , ​ ​knowledge​ ​seeking​ ​and​ ​always​ ​ready​ ​to​ ​hit​ ​that​ ​buzzer . ​ ​The​ ​SUA​ ​Academic Team​ ​routinely​ ​represents​ ​the​ ​fastest​ ​thinkers​ ​who​ ​have​ ​incredible​ ​knowledge​ ​in​ ​a​ ​variety​ ​of​ ​subjects . Requirements​ : ​ ​Players​ ​who​ ​practice​ ​on​ ​Monday​ ​mornings​ ​are​ ​eligible​ ​to​ ​compete​ ​in​ ​Tuesday​ ​afternoon​ ​matches . Students​ ​are​ ​welcome​ ​to​ ​join​ ​mid-season​ ​as​ ​other​ ​commitments​ ​end . Goals​ ​ & ​ ​Objectives : ​ ​To​ ​represent​ ​SUA​ ​competing​ ​in​ ​matches​ ​for​ ​the​ ​Greater​ ​Academic​ ​League . ​ ​To​ ​foster​ ​an​ ​atmosphere that​ ​supports​ ​the​ ​pursuit​ ​of​ ​academic​ ​excellence . Outside / After​ ​school​ ​activities​ : ​ ​Tuesday​ ​afternoon​ ​matches​ ​and​ ​2-3​ ​tournaments​ ​at​ ​Cincinnati​ ​State . ​ ​ ​Regular​ ​matches usually​ ​begin​ ​at​ ​3:30​ ​and​ ​can​ ​last​ ​until​ ​5:30 . Practices​ : ​ ​E303 , ​ ​Monday​ ​mornings​ ​7:15-7:55
AMBASSADORS Moderators : ​ ​Ms . ​ ​Dellecave Eligibility​ : ​ ​Students​ ​audition​ ​as​ ​freshmen​ ​ ( both​ ​in​ ​the​ ​fall​ ​and​ ​spring ). ​ ​Once​ ​accepted​ ​in​ ​the​ ​spring , ​ ​they​ ​continue​ ​as Ambassadors​ ​for​ ​their​ ​remaining​ ​three​ ​years​ ​at​ ​SUA . Requirements : ​ ​Must​ ​attend​ ​every​ ​meeting . ​ ​Failure​ ​to​ ​attend​ ​meetings​ ​or​ ​scheduled​ ​events​ ​means​ ​that​ ​you​ ​may​ ​be suspended​ ​or​ ​dismissed​ ​from​ ​the​ ​Ambassador​ ​organization . Goals​ ​ & ​ ​Objectives : ​ ​To​ ​represent​ ​SUA​ ​in​ ​a​ ​confident , ​ ​enthusiastic , ​ ​and​ ​skilled​ ​manner​ ​in​ ​the​ ​school​ ​setting​ ​and​ ​in​ ​the community . ​ ​Ambassadors​ ​participate​ ​in​ ​8​ th​​ ​grade​ ​shadow​ ​visits​ ​to​ ​SUA , ​ ​Open​ ​House , ​ ​High​ ​School​ ​Placement​ ​Test , Showcase​ ​Nights , ​ ​Freshman​ ​Registration , ​ ​correspondence​ ​for​ ​incoming​ ​freshman , ​ ​blogging​ ​for​ ​our​ ​website​ ​and​ ​various recruiting​ ​events​ ​throughout​ ​the​ ​year . Outside / After​ ​school​ ​activities : ​ ​Some​ ​events​ ​are​ ​in​ ​the​ ​evenings​ ​and​ ​on​ ​weekends . Meetings : ​ ​ ​Theater , ​ ​special​ ​schedule
ANIMAL​ ​AWARENESS​ ​CLUB Moderator​ : ​ ​Mr . ​ ​Hacker Eligibility​ : ​ ​The​ ​club​ ​is​ ​open​ ​to​ ​all​ ​SUA​ ​students​ ​who​ ​are​ ​interested​ ​in​ ​learning​ ​about​ ​new​ ​issues​ ​with​ ​species​ ​and volunteering​ ​with​ ​animals ! Requirements​ : ​ ​a​ ​love​ ​for​ ​animals​ ​and​ ​a​ ​ $ 5​ ​fee​ ​ ( to​ ​donate​ ​to​ ​an​ ​organization ) ​ ​at​ ​the​ ​beginning​ ​of​ ​the​ ​club . Goals​ ​ & ​ ​Objectives​ : ​ ​We​ ​aim​ ​to​ ​improve​ ​the​ ​lives​ ​of​ ​shelter​ ​animals​ ​with​ ​our​ ​volunteer​ ​work​ ​and​ ​to​ ​further​ ​educate people​ ​about​ ​modern​ ​issues​ ​with​ ​species . Outside / After​ ​school activities​ : ​ ​We​ ​will​ ​volunteer​ ​at​ ​a​ ​local​ ​shelter​ ​1-2​ ​times​ ​a​ ​quarter ! Meetings​ : ​ ​E101 , ​ ​Club​ ​Lunch​ ​1
ANIME​ ​CLUB Moderator​ : ​ ​Mr . ​ ​Vogel Eligibility​ : ​ ​Members​ ​must​ ​have​ ​an​ ​interest​ ​in​ ​Japanese​ ​culture​ ​and​ ​have​ ​a​ ​passion​ ​for​ ​anime . ​ ​All​ ​students​ ​are​ ​welcome . Requirement​s : ​ ​Attend​ ​all​ ​meetings​ ​and​ ​participate​ ​in​ ​activities . Goals​ ​ & ​ ​Objectives​ : ​ ​To​ ​discover​ ​Japanese​ ​culture​ ​through​ ​mythology​ ​research​ ​and​ ​historical​ ​settings​ ​of​ ​a​ ​manga / series , to​ ​learn​ ​about​ ​this​ ​popular​ ​genre​ ​of​ ​Asian​ ​film​ ​and​ ​its​ ​effect​ ​on​ ​life​ ​in​ ​America , ​ ​to​ ​enhance​ ​short-story​ ​writing​ ​and illustration​ ​abilities , ​ ​to​ ​read​ ​and​ ​discuss​ ​new / favorite​ ​mangas​ ​and​ ​watch​ ​anime​ ​movies .
