Science Teachers’ Association of New South Wales Inc. Providing leadership and promoting excellence in science education Meet the Markers of the 2016 HSC Exams Margaret Shepherd Saturday 27 May - University of NSW A huge thank yo u to UNSW for their sponsorship of this event. Meet the Markers has always been a popular event and this year once again close to 400 science teachers attended to hear from HSC markers. The day consisted of a range of workshops with some repeated sessions of the stage 6 subjects. Experienced markers provided valuable insights into the 2016 senior secondary HSC papers where candidature strengths, weaknesses and misconceptions were discussed. This year as many as three markers presented each subject. The 2017 Meet the Markers was very successful due to the contributions of such a professional group of teachers.
