RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
Huzzah ! For more than four decades , the Minnesota Renaissance Festival has showcased the merriment of the 16th century and has become the largest Renaissance Festival in the country .
As guests enter the Festival gates , they are welcomed by roaming street characters with a gracious “ Good day my lord and lady .” They are slowly immersed into the sights , smells and sounds of an authentic 16th century village . With more than 300 street characters roaming the village , it is inevitable to come face-to-face with the town beggar , the common peasant and even the King and Queen .
New to the Renaissance Festival is the Wizards Flight School Zip Line . Fly through the Festival on this thrilling new attraction that features two different and daring sections of zip line .
The Renaissance Festival features 16 stages of live entertainment , 250 artisan vendors , themed weekends , kid-friendly activities , full combat jousting and food fit for a king .
The Renaissance Festival is open weekends and Labor Day mid-August through early October .
