This artisan cafe and bakery has some delicious breakfast options, baked goods and excellent organic coffee. It’s definitely a favourite among local cyclists and runners with its convenient location right near the KVR and Naramata Road. If you can manage to get a seat, this busy little cafe has a lovely patio with a perfect view for spectators watching the Duathlon bike courses. (Recommendation: Try the Weekend Brunch Eggs Bennies!)

Best Location- Hooded Merganser- 21 Lakeshore Drive W., Penticton

Built on stilts right on the water in front of the Lakeside Resort makes “The Hood” a prime location for viewing the swim courses. Enjoy a classy breakfast, lunch or dinner featuring fresh local ingredients and wines from a variety of local wineries. (Recommendation: Make a reservation!)

Patio- Salty’s Beach House- 1000 Lakeshore Drive, Penticton

The beautiful lake side Patio, delicious flavours, and fun drinks almost make you feel like you’re somewhere a little more exotic. Salty’s is the perfect place for viewing many of the events including the Aquathlon, Duathlons, and Long Distance Triathlon run courses. (Recommendation: Get a seat upstairs and outside for a great view of the course!)

If you’re looking for some fresh and healthy meals look no farther. Whether you’re gluten free, dairy free, a vegan, a vegetarian or just somebody who enjoys a really incredible meal Wild Scallion is the place for you. The small seating area and simple

decor add to the charm of the place but on a busy summer day the best option is often getting a takeaway box and heading to the beach for a picnic. (Recommendation: The Salad Rolls! And if you like it enough go back for a cooking class!)
