While initially focusing on Ballroom Dancing, over
the years the club also offered dance classes such as Disco,
Rock and Street Latin. In 1998, the club underwent a name
change to Monash Dance Sport and became part of TEAM
Monash and the turn of the century saw the introduction
of new styles. By the mid-2000s, Swing, Salsa, Argentine
Tango, Ballet and Jazz was introduced, and soon the street
styles of Hip Hop and Urban Choreography also started
up.
After a ten year hiatus the magazine was revived as
‘My Daily Shuffle’ in 2012, returning to delight our
wonderful members, and the club has continued to run
strong. These days, the club holds 28 hours of classes each
week, employs 11 teachers and offers 15 different styles to
serve our 500 members with a fun break from study, a
chance to socialise and a place to get their toes tapping.
