T VNCU - A TVNCU # sign must be visibly posted on all legal vacation
rental homes on Kauai that are located outside a designated Visitor
Destination Area (VDA). Such VDA locations on Kauai are currently
identified by the Planning Department as zoning districts which allow
timeshare activity such as some areas of Princeville, Poipu, and Kapaa. The
existing County Ordinance #864 approved in 2008, requires all vacation
rentals outside VDA to have a Transient Vacation Rental Non-Conforming
Use Certificate (TVNCU) which has to be re-applied for
annually.
