2017 COURSE PROSPECTUS MESSAGE FROM The Group President Welcome to the GAC Corporate Academy 2017 Course Prospectus. Every year, thousands of GAC employees take part in one or more courses through our Academy. New joiners to long-term members of staff have the opportunity to learn what it means to be part of the GAC World and refine their skills and knowledge required to stay on top in our dynamic industry. As part of our strategy, we want to ensure that our people have the competencies to make our business successful and continue to improve the quality of our performance. We also continue to build the competencies of our leaders with the three-course Leadership Development Programme, which will see the launch of its final advanced course – Performance Driven Leadership. I encourage you to think about what kind of learning could help you perform better and use this year to take up the GCA opportunity. Bengt Ekstrand Group President This year we deliver more in-depth Commercial, Operational and Business Performance Portfolios, together with a strong focus on personal development opportunities. MESSAGE FROM The Group Vice President – Human Resources It is my pleasure to present our 2017 GCA Course Prospectus. One of the primary objectives of GAC is to continually drive our business forward, and our Academy helps us to do this by designing learning and development solutions that address real and specific business needs. In 2017 we will see the launch of several new courses within the Business Performance, Commercial and Business Operations Portfolios, giving GAC employees additional key skills within our core business sectors. GAC Financial Reporting (GFR) and GAC Internal Control (GIC) are two examples of this. Our new generation of Commercial courses will provide a brand new structured approach to GAC sales, ensuring that all commercial staff have what it takes to succeed and grow. Similarly, our new Business Application Training courses aim to ensure consistent and standardised performance and continued improvement in the implementation of our IT programmes. Another positive learning initiative is the introduction of our Business Communication Portfolio, which sees the re-launch of the Global English Programme. This programme will allow more non-English speaking GAC employees the opportunity to enhance their communication skills allowing them to communicate competently in the global business language of English. I ask you to please take the time to go through the Prospectus and consider how you can build your skills to deliver our customers’ strategies, and also build your own career within GAC.
