career progression, is extremely vital for an individual in any business. Through professional development,
a person could choose to enhance leadership, presentation, business writing or even team functioning skills.
Furthermore, understanding the job family and thereby planning a learning pathway through this process,
can also help set one up for success.
Personal and Professional Development (PPD)
Personal and Professional Development (PPD) is an action-learning course designed to guide you through
a process of self-evaluation, goal-setting and action planning for your own unique development context.
It is aimed at anyone who wishes to take a proactive role in their own personal and professional development.
Everyone can benefit from the skills and tools covered in this course, such as positive attitude, self-analysis,
goal-setting, action planning, and time management. One of the key outcomes of this course is the week-byweek construction of the participant’s own five-year Personal and Professional Development Plan. The course
is open to everyone in GAC with an ambition to improve their personal and professional effectiveness.
