Every year , Anderson Ranch hosts a variety of exciting events that bring the Snowmass and Aspen communities as well as art enthusiasts from around the country and beyond together to celebrate art and art making . These festive and lively events foster an exchange of ideas and inspiration all while providing exposure to top contemporary artists and local artists working in the valley . The 21st Annual Recognition Dinner was attended by more than 275 guests at the Hotel Jerome , in Aspen , CO . Jan and Ronnie Greenberg were honored with the Service to the Arts Award , Wangechi Mutu with the National Artist Award and Ann Korologos with the Extraordinary Leadership Award . Works by top contemporary artists such as Ken Price , The Haas Brothers , Frank Stella and Mickalene Thomas were auctioned off in an exciting live auction . The Recognition Dinner raised over $ 1,000,000 to support Ranch programs . |
The Annual Art Auction & Community Picnic is Anderson Ranch ’ s largest community event of the year and is held on the beautiful Ranch campus . The Ranch ’ s largest auction yet , the event was attended by more than 600 guests who participated in live and silent auctions , children ’ s art activities , live music and a community picnic . More than 200 works of art were donated by artists , collectors and galleries , and much of the work was made at the Ranch or produced specifically for the event . Highlights from the live auction included works by Richard Serra and Christo . |
