Even with awareness events, the follow up and use of kits is low. Even though only 60 tests came back with valid results, there were still 14 tests that were at or above the action level. Awareness, distribution and proper use of radon test kits, as well as mitigation for levels at or above 4.0 pCL/l, can assist in cancer prevention and decreasing risk for lung cancer.
