EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
QUALITY SERVICES PROGRAM
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend (WFSCB)
implemented the Frogstreet early childhood education
curriculum in its 28 Texas Rising Star (TRS) certified child
care centers during the 2017 contract year. 41 sets of
each age appropriate curriculum, i.e. infant, toddler,
three-year old, and Pre-Kindergarten kits were
purchased and distributed to each TRS child care center.
CURRICULUM
84 classrooms received an age appropriate Frogstreet
curriculum kit. The child care staff at each of the TRS child
care centers received two days of professional development
training on “how-to-use” the curriculum manipulatives
and lesson plans. The purchase and implementation of the
Frogstreet curriculum represents an investment of over
$280,500.00 in the TRS child care centers.
