Cheerleaders for Now,

Volunteers For Life

On Monday, October 30th, the varsity cheerleaders and Drill captain, Alexis Law, took an all day trip to Houston/Galveston for some volunteer work. This is the cheerleader's third annual trip to Shriner's hospital. They volunteer to entertain the kids and paint pumpkins with them, along with other fall activities. In addition to their trip to Shriner's, this year they decided to go to Moody Gardens to help plant different flowers and shrubs to raise money for the hurricane victims. This volunteer trip has been a thing for a while now. When we asked Mrs. Wright why the team volunteers she stated, "At the end of the day, it's not about what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's what you've given back."
