Post Shrimp Cook-Off

This year’s cookout brought many people to Shaw’s campus. Unfortunately we didn’t meet our goal of selling $50,000 in tickets. That being said most of the people who were there said that it was very enjoyable. There were many winners who earned rewards during the event. There was a new category added this year called the Crowd Favorite. People could vote for who they thought cooked the best shrimp or jambalaya.
There was a $1,000 raffle as well that took place after the winners were announced. The Shaw Band played at 2:00 P.M. to unveil their roster of songs for this year. Overall the event was a great success and we hope to have an even better outcome next year.
