There was a long journey prior to me attending Archbishop Shaw. When I was deciding where I wanted to go to high school, Archbishop Shaw was at the bottom of my list. I spent my eighth grade year at Holy Cross. I then transferred to Ponchatoula High School and spent the beginning half of my freshman year there.

My only regret is that I did not go to Shaw when I first had the chance. I would do anything to get back that extra year and a half. Attending Shaw changed my life more than I could have ever imagined. My first day on campus I already felt a part of the family. I was able to make a name for myself here. At the other school’s, I felt out of place, as if I was just a number.

Archbishop Shaw is my, home and the people here are a part of my family. I have gotten so much exposure here and have had so many opportunities that I wouldn’t have had at the other high schools. I was able to grow deep in faith and go on two leadership retreats across the country.

I was able to enter many competitions, including Literary Rally and the Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge. Attending Shaw allowed me to take my strengths and put them towards something positive.

I love Shaw and graduating from here is bittersweet. I know I am a part of the Archbishop Shaw Family forever, and I hope to continue to stay involved. Go Eagles!
